Latest Test and Measurement NewsSignal Analyser and Vector Signal Generator supporting LTE-Advanced / WirelessLAN21 December 2012 - Anritsu announce the release of its range of key software suites supporting next-generation LTE-Advanced 4G mobile phone systems as well as IEEE802.11ac wireless LAN devices for the popular MS269xA/ MS2830A Signal Analyser series and MG3710A/MG3700A Vector Signal Generator series. The wide use of smartphones and tablets has seen a rapid explosion in demand for data communications over mobile devices. In particular, cloud and video streaming services using large amounts of data have become key parts of the telecommunications landscape in addition to the currently deployed LTE and IEEE802.11n wireless LAN standards, there is high demand for next-generation wireless systems using LTE-Advanced and IEEE802.11ac which make more efficient use of frequency bands to achieve greater speeds. “The new Anritsu LTE-Advanced RF software enables generation and high performance measurement of non-contiguous carriers up to five component in one box, ideal for the development of base station and RF modules” said Francois Ortolan wireless specialist at Anritsu EMEA. The newly released software crosses several key leading Anritsu platforms, now giving the ability to support LTE-Advanced and IEEE802.11ac wireless LAN. As a result, one unit of the MS269xA/MS2830A series supports evaluation of LTE-Advanced FDD mobile base stations. It greatly simplifies modulation analysis of the multiple carrier waves comprising LTE-Advanced signals with a single measurement operation. “Anritsu can provide efficient tool to develop your Wireless LAN (11ac) modules with a simple software option on the existing equipment. It brings the capability to generate and measure up to 160 MHz bandwidth signal at 5 GHz and Non Continuous 80 + 80 MHz signal” affirmed Francois Ortolan wireless specialist. The MX269028A new software package is bundled with each of the MS269xA/MS2830A main frames for evaluating the characteristics of signals sent from IEEE802.11ac wireless LAN appliances. The MS269xA series can measure signal bandwidths of up to 160-MHz in the IEEE802.11ac signal bandwidth specifications; the MS2830A can measure signal bandwidths of up to 80 MHz. Related Articles: |
