Test Handler offers PCB Exchange within less than four Seconds

30 November 2018 - IPTE, a supplier of automated production equipment for the electronics and mechanics industry, has made its proofed and trusted Easy-Test-Handler ETH 25 per cent faster due to a new and more efficient spindle drive. Thanks to this new drive the cycle time is clearly faster.

In-Circuit or functional test as well as programming processes can be inline automated with IPTE’s Easy-Test-Handler ETH. The ETH is practical for the use with single-circuit boards, multiple boards or corresponding carriers for circuit boards. Both, one- or double-sided fixtures can be realized. The fixtures can be changed quickly and easily.

For optional parallel use of more than one Test-Handler, the Test-Handler can be equipped with a bypass-segment. This allows a constant production process, which is not interrupted by the testing process. Thanks to the bypass transport of the ETH, conveying can be done while testing the boards. Moreover, the bypass can be used to optimize the cycle time.

The IPTE Easy-Test-Handler ETH is an economical test solution with compact foot-print. It integrates easily in a fully automated SMEMA-compatible test environment and is ready for Industry 4.0 solutions. The ETH provides enough space for 19 inch test equipment (10 HE). An integrated LC touch display gives access to all parameters and settings.

With more than 1.000 installed Test-Handlers the IPTE Test-Handlers are the most used machines of this kind around the world. Due to the performance IPTE Test-Handlers convince with a high handling speed of the test head and less than four seconds for the PCB exchange. Thanks to the press on force of typical 5 kN and optional 10 kN or 15 kN, the IPTE Test-Handlers can be used very flexible. Further-more, all IPTE Test-Handlers are optimized for a minimum footprint to save space in the production area. Last but not least, the IPTE Test-Handlers have lowest cost in terms of the Test-Handler itself, cost of fixture kit and cost of maintenance.
