Latest Test and Measurement NewsApplication Services for Agilent AXI Systems09 May 2011 – MatriX Technologies, a manufacturers of automatic x-ray inspection solutions in the field of electronics and NDT, now provides – in addition to its own AXI product series for electronic production (XT1300, X2 and X2.5) - an extended package of service and application support for the Agilent Medalist 5DX and X6000 AXI systems. In 2009 Agilent had completely stopped the production of automatic x-ray systems for SMT solder joint inspection in the course of restructurings. For MatriX these services that are mainly provided in Europe represent a customer support for the running production of existing Agilent AXI customers. Matthias Hofmann, experienced application specialist for Medalist systems, coordinates and manages these key account activities in the MatriX application team. In detail, the range of services for the 5DX and X6000 system series cover: Application and operator training Preparation and translation of CAD data for test program generation 5DX and X6000 program generation including start-up and fine tuning at customer site Connection to production management systems (MES) as well as to traceability database MatriX provides this cross-system AXI customer support for several years now for various platforms. This involves the complete range of Nicolet Imaging Systems (NIS) x-ray system as well as the semi-automatic MXR system series of Macro-Science Engineering (MSE). Since 2004 the customers of the former NIS systems (Nicolet Imaging Systems) can take advantage of the competence and longtime AXI experience of the MatriX team of x-ray specialists. MatriX has now extended the successful NIS Trade-In program for this group of customers until the end of 2011. The trade-in offer guarantees interesting, financial advantages for customers of older NIS systems when upgrading the systems to the new MIPS inspection platform (MX3600) or when purchasing one of the new MatriX X2 and X2.5 series high-speed inline x-ray inspection systems. www.m-xt.comRelated Articles: |
