Analysis and Processing of ATML Test Results

13 August 2010 - Diagnosys expands its PinPoint Test Result Server (TRS) solution to include the analysis and processing of ATML (Automatic Test Markup Language) Test Results indictments. ATML is an XML-based (extensible markup language) standard for ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) and test information data exchange defined by a collection of XML schemas to represent test information, such as test programs, test asset interoperability, and UUT (unit under test) test data including test results and diagnostics procedures.

Diagnosys is currently using its own schema to share Test Result data between its Functional S500 ATE and its diagnostics PinPoint testers. The TRS has given Diagnosys S500 and PinPoint users the ability to significantly reduce test development time and test time by focusing diagnostics to an ambiguity group. See example below.

Stephen D. Marshall, Chief Technical Officer for Diagnosys states “I’m happy to see the Mil/Aero ATE industry embrace ATML as a standard; we have been providing our customers for the last five (5) years with the ability to diagnose ambiguity groups using our TRS to process Test Result data; today we are working very closely with the ATML community to create an XML Test Result standard that would allow interoperability between any IFTE/NGATS, VDATS, CASS ATE and the PinPoint In-Circuit tester.”
