Logic Analyzer and Oscilloscope support SENT Protocol Test

09 December 2020 - Acute Technology upgrades its logic analyzers (LA) and digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) to support the SAE J2716 SENT (Single Edge Nibble Transmission) communication protocol with bus decode and trigger.

SENT is used as the communication protocol between the automobile engine control unit (ECU) and its surrounding sensors. It has gradually been applied to various sensors in self-driving cars to improve the safety and reliability.

The SENT decode is supported by the entire Acute logic analyzers the SENT trigger is ONLY supported by some models.
