News - Board and System TestConfigurable Test System for Charging Communication Tests21 February 2024 – Vector launched the vCTS, short for Vector Charging Test System, which is a modular test system for charging communications tests. vCTS offers both manufacturers and suppliers of electric vehicles and charging stations comprehensive conformity and interoperability tests to validate charging communication. Exerciser Approved for CXL 1.1 Gold Suite Compliance Testing20 February 2024 – VIAVI Solutions Inc. (VIAVI) announced that the VIAVI Xgig CXL Exerciser has been recognized as a CXL 1.1 Gold device by the Compute Express Link (CXL) Consortium. With this approval, the Xgig CXL Exerciser can now qualify CXL devices’ protocol implementations for the CXL Integrators List. VIAVI participated in the official CXL Compliance Test Event 003 in January. Wireless Test Platform for Wi-Fi 716 February 2024 - Keysight Technologies introduced the E7515W UXM Wireless Connectivity Test Platform for Wi-Fi, a network emulation solution delivering signaling radio frequency (RF) and throughput testing for devices using Wi-Fi 7, including 4x4 MIMO 320 MHz bandwidth. Developed by the IEEE as the 802.11be standard, Wi-Fi 7 is the next generation of Wi-Fi wireless communications technology, promising significant performance advancements and improvements over the previous Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 6 standards. Debug Engine with extended Trace Support15 February 2024 - Version UDE 2024 of the Universal Debug Engine from PLS Programmierbare Logik & Systeme offers a wide range of new functions and enhancements that make debugging and runtime analysis of embedded software easier for system developers. In addition to the controllers and architectures already supported by the UDE, several new MCUs included in the support program also benefit from the additional features that significantly accelerate the development process. PLS will present the first real-life demos of UDE 2024 at embedded world 2024 in Nuremberg in Hall 4, booth 4-310. The UDE 2024 is expected to be available in May this year. Wi-Fi 7 Multi-Channel Single-Box Test Solutions14 February 2024 - Rohde & Schwarz will display its R&S CMX500 multi-technology multi-channel signaling tester at MWC 2024 with newly added Wi-Fi 7 testing capabilities. With this functionality, the one-box tester allows R&D engineers of wireless devices to comprehensively test their design’s operation in cellular and non-cellular standards of the latest generation in a single instrument setup. In addition to this, the R&S CMP180 radio communication tester will verify a signal waveform of 480 MHz bandwidth in loopback mode, attesting to be a future-proof solution for users in R&D and production, even beyond the requirements of Wi-Fi 7. Evaluation of Networks using OpenZR+ Transceivers13 February 2024 – Anritsu Corporation introduced the 400G (QSFP-DD) multi-rate module MU104014B that supports the new interface standard OpenZR+, as a module of the Network Master Pro MT1040A. OpenZR+ enables low-cost Data Center Interconnects (DCI) and metro network construction. This measurement solution supports tests for transitioning from high-cost networks using existing WDM systems to low-cost networks using OpenZR+ transceivers. Through this solution, the MT1040A helps reduce network construction and expansion costs. With excellent heat dissipation and cooling performance, the new measurement module is able to prevent communication failures caused by the heat generated by OpenZR+ transceivers. This enables more accurate measurement of network performance. Automotive Measurement and Calibration Software07 February 2024 – With the current version 22, the CANape measurement and calibration software from Vector now supports protocols of new vehicle architectures with High Performance Computing Platforms (HPC) and zone ECUs. All data is also recorded in the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) thanks to the support of the new protocols. Especially for ADAS/AD projects, new logging extensions offer data acquisition at up to 6 GByte/s. More Articles ...
