Receiver for Electromagnetic Interference Compliance Testing up to 3.6 GHz20 January 2015 – Keysight Technologies announced that its N9038A MXE EMI receiver is now available with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 3.6 GHz. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) compliance testing is required for all electronic products and is regulated by a variety of agencies around the world. Example applications in the 3.6 GHz range include automotive, industrial, scientific, medical, consumer and “Internet of Things” (IoT) products. Designed specifically for EMC testing, the MXE EMI receiver is compliant with the world’s two major sets of requirements: CISPR 16-1-1 for commercial products and MIL-STD-461 for military systems. With the new option, test engineers can configure the MXE with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 3.6, 8.4, 26.5, or 44 GHz. “In the lab and on the bench, the MXE provides the accuracy, repeatability and reliability self-certifiers need to test automotive and IoT products,” said Satish Dhanasekaran, marketing manager of Keysight’s Microwave and Communications Division. “With its built-in spectrum analysis capabilities, the 3.6 GHz MXE helps reduce the cost of test and also enables EMI/EMC specialists to diagnose noncompliant emissions and help designers pinpoint the root causes.” Built on an upgradeable platform, the MXE enables test labs to keep the instrument current and extend its longevity. Available enhancements include CPU, memory, disk drives and I/O ports. Users can also add functionality and measurement applications through simple license key upgrades. Related Articles: |
