News - Board and System TestCooperation for Test and Validation of IoT Devices13 March 2015 - GOEPEL electronics and the Colorado-based software technology company KOZIO enter into a strategic cooperation. The aim of the partnership is to develop new embedded tools. A particular focus will be on real-time solutions for validation and production test of complex microprocessor controlled designs, which is notably relevant for the Internet of Things (IoT). The cooperation builds on synergies from the special expertise of both companies. GOEPEL electronics is a specialist for JTAG/Boundary Scan based test, programming and debugging technologies that do not require the use of needles and probes (non-invasive). The Embedded System Access (ESA) technology, developed by GOEPEL electronics, enables the combination of different test methods, programming methods and validation procedures on a single platform. KOZIO is a software technology company with focus on superior embedded tools for the entire product life cycle of embedded devices in various industries. “Based on many years of experience and the product philosophy KOZIO is an ideal partner to develop new tools for embedded test of complex processor-controlled systems”, says Thomas Wenzel, CEO and co-founder of GOEPEL electronics. “Using the synergies of both of our solutions, we are now in a position to expand our ESA platform to important elements in the field of real-time and performance tests.” “After many years of discussing potential cooperation, we are very pleased to be working with GOEPEL and preparing to offer embedded software tools that integrate well with the GOEPEL product line”, stated Joe Skazinski, CTO and Co-founder of KOZIO. “We are hopeful that customers will see clear benefits of using GOEPEL’s proven solutions along KOZIO’s cacheable embedded software to tackle tough design and manufacturing issues such as fast DDR verification and testing or programming of other high-speed devices.” As the first result of the cooperation GOEPEL electronics will demonstrate a beta version of a JTAG controlled integration of the VTOS DDR tools into the software platform SYSTEM CASCON. The tool has been developed by KOZIO for embedded performance test of DDR memories. The launch of the first product is scheduled for the second quarter of 2015. Related Articles: |
