Insert Tools for Functional, Final or EOL Testing

IPTE Inserts14 July 2017 - Over the years, IPTE developed a quite comprehensive set of insert tools to automate the insertions of connectors. The inserts all have been designed for long life time, wear resistant contact material and fast exchange. Inserts are available for USB, micro USB, HDMI, PCMCIA, mini-DIN, PCB DIP Connectors, Fan detection, Jack, AC Power, Coaxial Power, VGA, SCART, Optical S/PDIF, LVDS, RJ11, RJ 45, SD Card, RF Connector, Dual RF and many more.

The special design makes sure the ground contact is made first before any other signal pin. All connectors can have an integrated contact switch, while floating and auto centering can be offered as an option as well.

IPTE Test Inserts are designed to automate the insertions of connectors. They are designed to fully automate the insertion with controlled depth. The used material allows tenthousands of insertions. The insert head is constructed to allow quick exchange in case of wear out. Each connection head is connected to the outside world using flexible wires, reduces the force on the connector so that the connector head is always repositioned in its zero position. The flexible wiring also maintains signal integrity.

All inserts can be made available for both horizontal or vertical use. Each insert is mounted on a separate bracket so that reuse and/or reconfiguration is made easy and quick
