News - General T&MPXI/PXIe Microwave Relay Modules capable of switching 110 GHz Signals15 June 2023 - Pickering Interfaces announced a new range of PXI/PXIe microwave relay modules capable of switching the 110 GHz signals associated with demanding RF & communications applications, including emerging technologies such as automotive radar. This extension to Pickering’s family of terminated SPDT microwave switches is the first to be offered in 110 GHz, delivering the highest RF switching performance available within a Pickering switching system. As operating frequencies evolve to ever higher levels, more of Pickering’s RF & microwave switching solutions will support 110 GHz to address the latest RF testing requirements. Digital Pulse Generator capability for Digitizers and AWGs14 June 2023 - A Digital Pulse Generator (DPG) option has been released for Spectrum Instrumentation’s line-up of high resolution, medium speed, Digitizer and Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) products. The option allows the units to produce digital pulses, and pulse streams, on up to four front panel Multi-Purpose I/O connectors; while simultaneously performing their regular tasks of acquiring, or generating, analog signals and waveforms. The new feature is ideal for a variety of automated test and measurement applications, including experiment control, AI and robotics, ATE, stimulus-response testing, system and machine control, component or sensor testing and more. Cost-effective 175 W & 350 W DC Electronic Loads13 June 2023 - B&K Precision announced the 8550 Series Programmable DC Electronic Loads. The series consists of two models capable of sinking up to 350 W in a compact benchtop form factor. The 8550 (150 V / 30 A) and 8551 (150 V / 60 A) both feature a 4.3-inch display and are well equipped for evaluating DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, batteries, battery chargers, and photovoltaic arrays. User-configurable list, transient, and automatic test modes offer dynamically changing load conditions. Lidar Target Simulator for Sensor Test and Validation09 June 2023 - Keysight Technologies expanded its portfolio of autonomous driving validation test solutions with the E8717A Lidar Target Simulator (LTS), which enables automakers and lidar sensor makers to test and validate lidar sensors for autonomous vehicles (AV). The Keysight LTS solution allows to simulate test targets at defined distance and reflectivity with a compact and standardized bench setup. Scalable Capabilities for Test & Lab Management, Data Collection and Customizable Analysis06 June 2023 - NI, formerly known as National Instruments, introduced SystemLink Enterprise. Revolutionizing how companies use test insights and data to drive product and business performance, SystemLink Enterprise allows companies to manage test systems, data collection, and reporting from a central location and to use product-centric analytics for actionable insights. Created in partnership with GM, SystemLink Enterprise, built on Kubernetes, centralizes the way test systems and data are managed. Next Generation of Oscilloscope Software05 June 2023 - Pico Technology launched its next-generation oscilloscope software: PicoScope 7. Based on PicoScope 6 software, PicoScope 7 has been rewritten to take advantage of the latest PC and display technologies. PicoScope 7 boasts a range of enhanced features and functionality making it the ideal choice for engineers and technicians looking for precise, reliable, and easy-to-use tools for their test and measurement needs. PicoScope 7 is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems. Compact Opto-isolated Probes for Signals up to ±2500V24 May 2023 - Saelig Company introduced the Micsig SigoFIT Series Opto-isolated Probes which have excellent amplitude/frequency characteristics and deliver an excellent common mode rejection ratio (CMRR up to 112dB at 100MHz, over 100dB at 500MHz.) The full-range noise floor is 1.1mVrms max, and the 24-hour zero drift is less than 50uV. These SigOFIT probes feature Micsig's exclusive SigOFIT optical isolation technology, remotely powered by laser light or battery, offering extremely high isolation voltage to help engineers to see true, uncorrupted signals within their specified bandwidths.
