Test System for e-mobility high Voltage Components

WEEE W 484 116 March 2018 - The compact W 484 Test System completes the portfolio of WEETECH GmbH in the high voltage tester sector. It has been specifically designed for high voltage cable harnesses and components of the rapidly growing e-mobility industry and meets the requirements of LV 123, a multi-company standard for testing high voltage cable harnesses and components for electric or hybrid vehicles.

The newly developed high voltage generator HVG 4300 delivers voltages to 4,300 Vdc / 3,000 Vac and is current limited to a maximum of 3.8 mA. According to DIN EN 50191, the provided voltage is classified as non-hazardous, which can avoid complex safety precautions in production.

The test point cards with 44 test points each are available in two different versions up to 2,700 VDC / 1,900 Vac and up to 4,300 Vdc / 3,000 Vac. Generator and switching matrix are encased in a compact 19-inch housing, available in three different sizes. Depending on the model, the test system offers 44 to 792 test points, is portable, mobile or can be integrated into an adaptation table.

In addition to precise continuity tests in the µOhm range, the tester offers reliable ARC detection through innovative detectors that react immediately to voltage and current changes in the µs range. Optionally, adapter cables equipped with ID chips connect to any output connector on the system.

The new W 484 Test System is ideal for testing high voltage cable harnesses and components in the automotive industry and remains compact and cost-effective.
