DDS Function Generator with Arbitrary Waveform Function

20 January 2012 – GAO Tek Inc. is offering its DDS function generator with arbitrary waveform function. It is designed for use in such applications as communication equipment and electronic component production. Using Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) technology, this function generator, model A0230008, can generate a wide variety of waveforms over a wide frequency range of 40 mHz to 20 MHz.

It features frequency sweep, burst, CHA & CHB ADD functions and TTL output. This easy-to-use DDS function generator provides a sampling rate of 100 MSa/s, a vertical resolution of 8 bits and a waveform length of 1 k-points. It provides stable output waveforms down to 1 mV with impedance of 50 Ω. Its output waveforms include 32 built-in waveforms including Sine, Square, Triangle, Ramp, and Pulse. Modulations include FM, FSK, PSK and ASK, as well as, 8 sets of user defined waveforms. In addition, it uses an RS-232 interface for remote control of all of the instrument functions and for storing instrument set-ups. The function generator can store 40 groups of settings. This high performance DDS function generator belongs to GAO’s family of Logic Analyzers and Generators. The line also includes DDS Arbitrary Function Generator/Counter which creates stable and accurate output signals, low distortion sine waves and a wide selection of standard and arbitrary waveforms, Radio Frequency Signal Generator which is widely used in research, development and production testing of AM/FM receivers, civil-band transceivers, radio remote-control toys and wireless telephones and Digital Function Generator.
