News - Other T&MCompliance Test for OPEN Alliance TC9 Specification23 November 2020 - Test and measurement specialist Rohde & Schwarz extended its support to the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) with an extension to their compliance test services. As a result, UNH-IOL customers can now achieve compliance for automotive Ethernet cables and connectors (link segment) based on the OPEN Alliance TC9 working group test specification supporting both unshielded (UTP) and shielded twisted pair cables and connectors (STP). Low Voltage Multi-Conductor Cable Tester05 October 2020 - CAMI Research, manufacturer of automation-ready cable and harness test systems, released the model M3Z low voltage test system. In addition to checking for opens, shorts, and miswires, the M3Z allows measurement of the quality of connections, resistors, diodes, and other measurement functions including for complex network and backplane applications. Measure 0.1Ω to 5 MΩ, and use the fixture-nulling feature to automatically subtract the resistance of your test interface fixture. Test Interface Fixture for Phoenix Contact Connectors20 August 2020 - CAMI Research released a test interface board preconfigured for 20-pin Phoenix Contact connectors. Any other connector with a 0.14” (3.5 mm) pitch can also be attached. Rated to 1500Vac/dc, the CB56 may be used on all CableEye cable and harness test systems. Low Insertion Force Cable Test Interface Fixtures22 October 2019 - CAMI Research Inc. and Doyle Manufacturing Inc. have joined forces to offer the design and manufacture of low insertion force, CableEye test interface fixtures providing users with full plug and play solutions – mapped, electrically tested, and ready to use. Test Interface Fixture for Surface Mount Single and Dual Row Connectors20 August 2019 - CAMI Research, manufacturer of the CableEye automation-ready cable and harness test system, released a test interface board for surface mount single and dual row connectors with 0.05” (1.27mm) pitch and up to 34 and 68 pins respectively. Rated to 500Vac/dc, the CB55 may be used on all CableEye models. USB Based Time Domain Reflectometer09 April 2019 - Analog Arts launched the fully automated high resolution TDR XT995. With a resolution of 0.5 mm, and a sampling rate of 100 GHz, XT995 is a unique TDR cable analyzer which includes a powerful integrated FRA. It is designed for various cables with lengths of 50 cm to more than 10 m with higher length (up to 3000 km) optional. This model enables the user to automatically test various types of cables for kink, cramp, impedance discontinuity, short and open. Cable Testers display Work Instructions and convert Operator Text to Speech15 March 2019 - CAMI Research, manufacturer of the CableEye automation-ready cable and harness testers used for assembly, prototyping, production, and QC, ships the tester with a comprehensive software package that provides test functions, graphic wiring display, connectors database, reporting, data logging, automation scripting and many more features. In addition to being used to automate the test itself, this out-of-the-box automation scripting lets managers generate and display rich text work instructions with images. Work instructions can be coupled with operator text to speech conversion to form a totally heads-down workstation. More Articles ...
