News - Service/Maintenance TestInterference Hunting in mobile Networks15 January 2018 - Unwanted transmitters are pervasive in today’s mobile networks. They degrade network capacity and subscriber QoE, making interference hunting a key issue for mobile network operators and regulators. The new handheld R&S MNT100 RF interference locator from Rohde & Schwarz uses receiver technology and intelligent processing to quickly detect, analyze and locate even complex pulsed interference signals. DOCSIS 3.0/3.1 Analyzer for Realtime Analysis19 December 2017 - Rohde & Schwarz developed the R&S DSA DOCSIS signal analyzer to enable realtime analysis of signals transmitted in line with the high-speed DOCSIS 3.0 and DOCSIS 3.1 standards. Cable TV network operators can use the compact instrument to test whether their network and network components comply with DOCSIS requirements. Handheld Analyzer supports Signal Demodulation and Vector Signal Analysis13 November 2017 – Keysight Technologies announced new enhancements for its FieldFox handheld RF and microwave analyzers. FieldFox analyzers now connect to Keysight’s 89600 VSA software, the industry’s leading toolset for signal demodulation and vector signal analysis. Troubleshooting of Automotive Applications11 July 2017- Rohde & Schwarz has enhanced its R&S Scope Rider, adding triggering and decoding software for the CAN flexible data rate (CAN-FD) and single edge nibble transmission (SENT) bus systems. It is currently the only portable oscilloscope capable of analyzing CAN, LIN, CAN-FD and SENT bus signals, making it the perfect tool for troubleshooting automotive applications – from commissioning to drive tests. Portable Solution for Testing to 100G21 June 2017 – Anritsu Corporation has released a 100G Multirate Module for its Network Master Pro MT1000A all-in-one tester supporting interface rates from 10 Mbps to 100 Gbps, and technologies including Ethernet, Optical Transport Networks (OTN), SDH/SONET, Fibre Channel, and CPRI/OBSAI. Integrating the new 100G module with existing OTDR and CPRI RF modules in the MT1000A main unit provides field engineers and technicians with the industry’s first handheld solution covering all current testing needs for data centers, and core, metro, access, mobile backhaul and mobile fronthaul networks. Entry-level OTDR for testing “last mile” optical Access Networks24 April 2017 - Yokogawa added an entry-level model, the AQ1000, to its range of OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) test instruments. The new instrument joins the existing mid-range AQ1200 series and the high-end AQ7280 series, and is specifically designed to increase the productivity of field personnel working on the installation and deployment of optical access networks such as Fibre to the Home (FTTH): the so-called "last mile" to consumers' premises. External RF filters for Signal Analysis to avoid Overmodulation Effects30 March 2017 – Narda Safety Test Solutions released a new external RF filters for its IDA 2 handheld signal analyzer. These optional RF filters help users to in particular avoid out of band overmodulation without reducing the necessary measurement sensitivity when making measurements with the IDA 2 in highly dynamic measurement environments. These overmodulation effects can occur when very weak RF signals need to be measured in the presence of much stronger signals. More Articles ...
