Full-Speed GDDR5 Testing

25 February 2026 - Neumonda will exhibit at embedded world 2026 and present its complete portfolio of next-generation DRAM test boards: Rhinoe and Octopus, and will reveal its newest platform, Raptor. In hall 1, booth 340, visitors will experience a live Raptor demo running full-speed tests on a GDDR5 component. In the live setup, Neumonda’s Raptor test platform will execute real-time test sequences that validate GDDR5 components under application-realistic conditions.

This demonstration confirms the feasibility of Neumonda’s long-term vision: a unified, ASIC-based DRAM test platform capable of supporting DDR4, DDR5, LPDDR4, LPDDR5, DDR6/LPDDR6, as well as high-performance memory such as HBM. All at dramatically lower cost than conventional test systems while delivering comparable functionality and coverage. Raptor is in the final development stages, with tape-out planned for the second half of the year.

Based on an FPGA, Neumonda’s Rhinoe DRAM tester is a compact, energy-efficient alternative to conventional testers, capable of burn-in, array, and full-speed DRAM cell testing across DDR3 and DDR4. This was the first tester Neumonda released, demonstrating the viability of its revolutionary new approach to memory testing.

Designed to meet the demands of AI‑class memory architectures, Neumonda’s Octopus tester operates at speeds up to 6.4 Gbps and supports multiple DRAM technologies (DDR4, DDR5, LPDDR4, and LPDDR5). As the only test board that can validate four DRAM generations at full real-world signal and power integrity conditions, Octopus enables manufacturers and module houses to improve yields and dramatically reduce the failure rates commonly encountered when only module-level testing is performed.
