New Way to analyze Magnetic Fields

05 November 2024 - With the digital H-field probe BFD-400-1 the engineers at Narda Safety Test Solutions have achieved a breakthrough in the isotropic measurement and analysis of low-frequency magnetic fields. On the FieldMan, Narda's smart and intuitive EMF broadband measuring device, it reliably and safely records and evaluates the field exposure of employees in areas such as automotive, railroad and other industrial applications at frequencies between 1 Hz and 400 kHz.

Together with the compact EHP-50F probe, the frequency-selective FFT field analyzer for isotropic measurement of electric and magnetic fields, which can now also be operated with the FieldMan, both will in future cover the entire low-frequency range in occupational safety. While the probes automatically evaluate the exposures in accordance with the most important standards such as EU Directive 2013/35/EU, ICNIRP or IEEE, the FieldMan displays the exposure index directly as a percentage of the selected standard.
