27. August 2024 - SphereOptics announced that it will represent LR Tech in Germany, Austria, Switzerland (DACH-region) and in Eastern Europe. LR Tech, headquartered in Lévis, Québec, designs and manufactures FT-IR based spectroradiometer solutions tailored to the environmental, meteorological, defence and aerospace markets. The instruments are used in a wide range of remote sensing applications ranging from atmospheric temperature and humidity sounding to infrared signature measurements.
20 August 2024 - Peter Riedel has decided to resign from his position as President and COO of Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG for personal reasons and leave the company effective end of July 2024. He will remain associated with Rohde & Schwarz in an advisory role. After the departure of Peter Riedel, the Executive Board of the Munich technology company now consists of Christian Leicher as President and Chief Executive Officer and Andreas Pauly, who was appointed President and Chief Technology Officer on October 1, 2023. For the time being, Andreas Pauly will assume the tasks of Chief Operating Officer on an interim basis.

16 August 2024 – Tektronix announced the TAP1500L active, single-ended probe equipped with a seven-meter probe cable. A modification to the existing TAP1500 active single-ended probe, this new version features a cable that is 5.7 meters longer than the original. The TAP1500L addresses a critical need for engineers: the ability to perform automated tests with greater flexibility and safety. Fitting for Flying Probe end-users and manufacturers, the device helps to effectively and safely conduct testing while allowing greater flexibility for customers to position test stations for unique needs, with no loss in performance.

15 August 2024 – The new PD 100 photodiodes are Instrument Systems’ high-performance detectors for the fast and highly accurate measurement of radiant flux in the VIS to near IR spectral region. In combination with a 3-port ISP integrating sphere and a CAS spectroradiometer, they enable particularly fast and precise measurement of the luminous flux and absolute radiant power in production. Also pulsed light sources (e.g. VCSEL) or low light test objects can be measured.

09 August 2024 – Anritsu introduced its latest innovation, which enables users to integrate their renowned spectrum analysis technology into any platform or system. The MS27200A is a self-contained microwave spectrum monitor module that goes all the way from 9 kHz up to 54 GHz with onboard processing. The module has 110 MHz Real-Time Spectrum Analysis (RTSA) bandwidth with a DANL of -164 dBm (with preamp), which means the module is capable of receiving the most faint and intermittent signals.
