08 August 2024 - Tektronix shared the availability of a new remote procedure call (RPC)-based solution, TekHSI, for faster data transfer from testing instruments to a user’s PC. TekHSI (Tektronix’s high speed interface) functions as a new firmware capability on the Tektronix MSO 4B, 5 and 6 Series models (including B and LP instrument renditions). The abstractions provided in TekHSI make it possible to achieve higher data transfer speeds with easy-to-use implementation and scaling abilities, and TekHSI enables Tektronix customers to capture the highest performance output from an instrument’s physical link, such as ethernet, and transfer data at higher speeds.

05 August 2024 - B&K Precision announced the 4078C Series Dual Channel Arbitrary / Function Waveform Generators. These high-performance generators utilize true point-by-point arbitrary waveform generation, producing less jitter and distortion than generators relying on a typical DDS architecture. In addition, the new series features 16-bit resolution, a sampling rate of up to 250 MSa/s, and deep waveform memory up to 4 Mpts per channel.
31 July 2024 – Anritsu launched its AH15199B 140 Gbaud Wideband/High-Output (2 Vpp) Linear Amplifier developed to evaluate optical transmissions devices in the generation of beyond 1 Tera. This new linear amplifier features a wideband frequency response of 200 kHz to 135 GHz at a –6 dB bandwidth and can amplify 140 Gbaud PAM4 signals to 2.0 Vpp. The high-gain amplification of +15.5 dB and low jitter fluctuation of 300 fs from the actual signal timing support amplification of even high-quality input signals attenuated during transmission.

25 July 2024 - Rohde & Schwarz further strengthens its oscilloscope portfolio by introducing the industry’s first ASIC-based zone triggering. With this new approach, the MXO series can offer the world’s fastest zone trigger update rate of up to 600.000 waveforms per second and less than 1.45 us blind time between trigger events. It is up to 10 000 faster than competitive zone triggering offerings. Thanks to the new ASIC-based zone triggering, MXO oscilloscopes can precisely isolate events where traditional triggering does not provide the needed flexibility.
