18 November 2024 - Chroma has partnered with Altair, and Tron Energy to launch an advanced dynamic battery charge-discharge testing collaboration. The project aims to enable verification and enhancement of battery performance and lifespan through leading-edge equipment and precise simulation technology. It integrates Chroma's Battery Pack Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) system, Altair's precisely designed vehicle dynamics and battery models, and Tron Energy's real bus operational data to simulate the driving conditions of Tron Energy's electric buses on a test bench, facilitating repeated dynamic charge-discharge and cycling tests.
13 November 2024 – Anritsu Corporation announced full support for 5G and LTE Next Generation eCall (NGeCall) validated test cases on its 5G NR Mobile Device Test Platform ME7834NR enabling GCF certification. eCall is a European initiative designed to provide rapid assistance to motorists involved in accidents. It uses an In-Vehicle System (IVS) equipped with sensors that, when triggered (e.g., by airbag deployment), automatically place an emergency call to the pan-European Emergency Number 112. Along with the voice call, essential data such as location, passenger count, and vehicle direction is sent to the PSAP. Since March 31, 2018, all new M1 (passenger cars) and N1 (light-duty) vehicles sold in the EU must be equipped with eCall capability.

04 November 2024 – Anritsu and Bluetest have combined their recent product upgrades to create an Over-the-Air (OTA) measurement solution in a MIMO environment for verifying RF performance in the tri-frequency bands of the latest WLAN standard (IEEE 802.11be). This collaboration enables transmit power (Total Radiated Power, TRP) and receiver sensitivity (Total Isotropic Sensitivity, TIS) measurements in a 2x2 MIMO environment on devices supporting IEEE 802.11be.

30 October 2024 - For the efficient analysis of the timing behavior of ECUs, Vector and PLS Programmierbare Logik & Systeme now offer a new free timing bundle which can be used to identify and eliminate timing problems in early project phases. Currently, the TriCore and AURIX microcontroller families from Infineon are supported. The timing bundle for PLS’ UDE Universal Debug Engine is based on the Vector ECU basic software MICROSAR Classic and the TA Tool Suite and is available from Vector. The UDE takes over the task of convenient and precise tracing directly on the ECU hardware.
