29 August 2024 - COMPRION announced that its 5G conformance test system SIMfony CMX500 is now providing RedCap tests. The tests are carried out using the UT³ Platform conformance test system in combination with the Rohde & Schwarz CMX500 one-box signaling tester. GCF/PTCRB RedCap tests for USIM/USAT testing are based on the global standards 3GPP TS 31.121 and 3GPP TS 31.124.
26 August 2024 - Keysight Technologies played a key role in enabling Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. to make the industry’s first end-to-end interoperability and data connection in the FR3 frequency range using the Keysight E7515P UXM 5G Wireless Test Platform and a 5G Qualcomm Technologies mobile test platform (MTP). 5G networks currently use low to mid-band frequencies within Frequency Range 1 (FR1, 410 MHz to 7.125 GHz) and high-band millimeter wave frequencies in Frequency Range 2 (FR2, 24.25 GHz to 71 GHz). The industry is exploring new upper mid-band frequencies for future 5G Advanced and 6G technologies to support growing high-speed data needs.

14 August 2024 - Keysight Technologies helped to perform the first 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release 16 (Rel-16) sidelink radio interoperability test between the Ettifos SIRIUS 5G-V2X sidelink platform and the Autotalks SECTON3 5G-V2X chipset through the Keysight PathWave Signal Generation for NR-V2X and X-app for 5G NR V2X Modulation Analysis Measurement Application.
13 August 2024 – Anritsu Corporation announced that a one-box tester supports both RF and protocol conformance testing for 5G communication devices by enhancing the functionality of its New Radio RF Conformance Test System ME7873NR Lite Model. When configured as a one-box tester, the Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A, RF conformance testing can be performed with the ME7873NR Lite Model, while protocol conformance testing can be performed with the 5G NR Mobile Device Test Platform ME7834NR Lite Model. Previously, RF and protocol conformance testing required separate one-box testers with different hardware configurations.
