Environmental Test Chambers for Tests of IP Degree03 July 2013 - AT4 wireless adds to its Laboratories one of the biggest chambers in Europe for tests of IP Degree. The new dust chamber extends AT4 wireless Laboratory capacities to make degree protection testing, allowing to make this type of tests to the enclosures of large size and weight industrial equipment, according to the standard EN 60529, of degree protection given by enclosures of industrial equipment (IP Code). The Laboratory has just extended its equipment to make environmental testing, with a new dust chamber, that allow to test the enclosures related to penetration of solid bodies in them, according to “IP” codes described in the standard UNE 20324. AT4 wireless already offered tests to determine all types of IP Degree protection, but now has one of the biggest chambers in Europe for tests of IP5X/IP6X Degree. The chamber has a test volume of 2.5m x 2m x 1.5m and a working load of 1,000 kg. IP Degree testing, apart from being mandatory according to Machinery Directive 2006/42/CEE for electrical equipment, is applicable, among others, to any installation or outdoor elements, like electrical sensors, controllers, electrical cabinets, doors, photovoltaic panels or automotive components. With this new chamber, AT4 wireless continues to extend the reach of its environmental testing offer, meeting the current demand of the electrical, electronic, telecommunication, avionic, and military industry.
