Multi Channel Electronic Load with integrated Power Measurement

NHResearch-435005 March 2013 - NH Research introduced its 4350 series Electronic Loads with built in power measurements. The system consists of a 19 Inch Rack controller chassis that can be populated with up to 16 channels of 150 Watt , 8 channels of 300 Watt or 4 channels of 600 Watt 500 Volt DC load modules or any combination up to 2400 Watt. More channels and higher power can be achieved by adding additional chassis. All channels can be operated independent but also can be configured parallel for higher power.

There is no need for additional measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, DMM as each load module incorporates isolated 16 Bits 1 Ms/s digitizers with 256 kpts memory for both voltage and current. Each load module offers 20 standard measurement plus graphic waveform analysis tool that provide an almost limitless range of UUT transient performance information. Measurements are synchronized between channels and time-stamped. 3 measurement ranges ensure high accuracy. In addition each load module offers also 0-10 Volt analog in- and outputs and 2 isolated digital inputs and 2 isolated digital outputs. The Controller chassis offers another 12 digital inputs.

Unlike other loads that are limited to operate in one load mode at a time, In Auto-Mode multiple load modes can be set simultaneously. Transition between modes is glitchless without interruption. The auto-mode offers more realistic behavior to what a UUT would see at turn on. In fact many UUT’s will not turn on into a constant current load. By using auto mode the user can create a minimum voltage before the load starts to draw any current, then it will transition into Constant Resistance mode while voltage rises and finally into constant current mode.
