Latest Test and Measurement NewsDALI Protocol Decoding and Analysis29 August 2019 - Pico Technology has added DALI decoding and analysis with the latest version of PicoScope 6 software. DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) provides two-way communications between lighting fixtures (“luminaires”), ballasts and controllers. A DALI controller can talk to individual LED drivers and ballasts, and those devices can in turn talk back to the controller to report light failures, energy consumption, ambient light conditions and so on. PAM4 50Gb Ethernet and 64Gb Fibre Channel Protocol Analyzer and Jammer26 August 2019 – Teledyne LeCroy announced the SierraNet M648 protocol analysis and traffic impairment system. The SierraNet M648 offers state-of-the-art protocol analysis and jamming for 4 level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM4) 50G Ethernet and 64G Fibre Channel interconnections. Portable AWG with up to 16 Channels22 August 2019 - Spectrum Instrumentation’s latest line of Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWGs) is based on the LXI instrumentation standard and has been created for engineers and scientists that need to simultaneously generate up to 16 precise electronic signals. Small and compact, the units are ideal in automated testing or remote-control type applications. 16 GHz Sampler-extended Real-time Oscilloscope21 August 2019 - Pico Technology introduced the PicoScope 9404-16 SXRTO, a 16 GHz sampler-extended real-time oscilloscope. The new model joins the 5 GHz 9404-05 model launched earlier this year. Ideally suited to repetitive or clock-derived signals, both models feature four high-resolution 12-bit channels, each supported by real-time sampling to 500 MS/s per channel and up to 5 TS/s (0.2 ps) equivalent-time sampling. Test Interface Fixture for Surface Mount Single and Dual Row Connectors20 August 2019 - CAMI Research, manufacturer of the CableEye automation-ready cable and harness test system, released a test interface board for surface mount single and dual row connectors with 0.05” (1.27mm) pitch and up to 34 and 68 pins respectively. Rated to 500Vac/dc, the CB55 may be used on all CableEye models. Protocol Verification for USB4 and USB 3.219 August 2019 – Teledyne LeCroy announced availability of USB 3.2 analysis in the Voyager M4x analyzer. The Voyager M4x started shipping in earlier this year as the industry’s first test solution supporting USB4 and Thunderbolt 3 protocol analysis. This solution now supports USB 3.2 to allow testing of systems that utilize dual 10Gb/s links, or 20Gb/s aggregate bandwidth over USB Type-C cables. RIGOL launched new 2 GHz Digital Oscilloscopes16 August 2019 - RIGOL Technologies expanded its UltraVision II oscilloscope portfolio with the introduction of the New MSO8000 Series Digital Oscilloscope. Delivering Bandwidth up to 2 GHz Bandwidth and a new Jitter and Real-Time Eye Analysis package the MSO8000 Series extends RIGOL's unmatched value proposition into serial data analysis and signal integrity applications.
