Latest Test and Measurement NewsComprehensive Receiver Testing Solution for MIPI D-PHY v2.017 February 2017 – Tektronix introduced the industry’s first receiver test solution with 100 percent coverage of the MIPI Alliance’s recently released D-PHY v.2.0 specification along with full support for the C-PHY v1.1 receiver test specification. The MIPI receiver test solutions consist of two software packages running on AWG70000 Series arbitrary waveform generators. Handheld Analyzer for Signals in the RF Spectrum16 February 2017 - SignalShark, the new Real Time Handheld Analyzer from Narda, enables completely new facilities for measurements in the more and more complex high frequency spectrum. SignalShark will be on show for the first time at the Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC) in Barcelona. WLAN Test Set supports IEEE802.11ac Standard15 February 2017 – Anritsu Corporation has released the new Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A, an integrated one-box test set specifically for testing 802.11 WLAN devices. With built-in communications protocols, the MT8862A measures the performance of the WLAN devices in the actual operating state, and is the first test equipment of its kind to support all IEEE802.11ac/n/a/g/b standards. Handheld Oscilloscope includes Functionality of 8 Instruments14 February 2017 - The robust, handheld R&S Scope Rider of Rohde & Schwarz now combines the functionality of eight instruments. New features include a spectrum analyzer, a frequency counter and a harmonic analyzer for evaluating the quality of power supplies. The right tool is always available, both in the lab and when on the road performing installation, service and maintenance activities. Since the fully insulated, handheld instrument meets measurement category CAT IV requirements, it can be used to perform measurements at the source of low-voltage installations up to 600 V. High Speed Flying Probe PCB Test System13 February 2017 - atg Luther & Maelzer will introduce its new A8a Automatic Bare Board Flying Probe Test System at IPC APEX EXPO 2017, which is scheduled to take place on February 14 – February 16, 2017 at the Convention Center in San Diego CA. To achieve high throughput the key features of the A8a is a new design dual shuttle system which reduces the product exchange time to zero seconds. NI upgrades Performance of VirtualBench All-in-One Instrument10 February 2017 - National Instruments (NI) announced the VB-8054 instrument, a new higher performance model of VirtualBench. VirtualBench plays a key role in reducing the cost and footprint of test and measurement systems by consolidating five of the most commonly used instruments into one device without compromising the performance of each instrument. Combined with a modern software experience and simple programming interface, VirtualBench creates new efficiencies for engineers interacting with benchtop test equipment or developing low-cost automated test systems. Testing OIF and IEEE PAM4 Interface Standards09 February 2017 – Teledyne LeCroy announced the addition of fully automated transmitter testing for 56-Gb/s, PAM4-based interfaces. The new QPHY-56G-PAM4 option adds standards-specific measurement capabilities to a measurement portfolio that already includes the PAM4 signal analysis capabilities pioneered by Teledyne LeCroy in recent years.
