News - Board and System Test6 GHz Band RF Test for 5G FR1 Devices06 March 2024 – Anritsu Corporation introduced new NR Licensed 6GHz Band Measurement MX800010A-014 software for its MT8000A Radio Communication Test Station. The system now supports RF tests in the 6 GHz band (5.925 GHz to 7.125 GHz) for 5G FR1 devices. The upgrade has been developed in swift response to an extension in December 2023 of the upper frequency for licensed bands operating on 5G Frequency Range 1 (FR1). Where previously licensed bands were below 6 GHz, 3GPP Release 17 has seen them increased to 7.125 GHz in order to facilitate the growing amount of mobile, wi-fi, and other wireless traffic operating across these bands. Product Line for High-Fidelity Qubit Control05 March 2024 - Zurich Instruments makes another step towards more computational quantum power. The new product line, SHF+, enables increased high-fidelity qubit control, and the new feature has already been tested at leading quantum labs. This allows for even more reliable manipulation of fragile quantum states, and thus enables running more powerful algorithms. This is yet another important step toward the endgame: building a useful quantum computer. Wi-Fi 7 Test Solution01 March 2024 – ETS-Lindgren is gearing up to optimize their products using Anritsu’s Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A to capitalize on the revolutionary advancements brought forth by Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE802.11be). As one of the first-to-market Wi-Fi 7 Solutions available, users now have a proven test system for performance verification testing of wireless devices in accordance with IEEE Standard 802.11be. IEEE 802.11be, Wi-Fi 7 is a significant leap forward in wireless technology, introducing features such as 320 MHz channels, Multi-link Operation (MLO), 4K QAM, 512 Compressed Block Ack, and Multiple RUs to a single STA. Verification of 5G Vehicle-to-Everything System-on-a-Chip28 February 2024 - Keysight Technologies enabled Autotalks to verify the TEKTON3 vehicle-to-everything (V2X) system-on-a-chip (SoC) that meets the physical layer specifications of the 3GPP 5G New Radio (NR) Release 16 (Rel-16) Sidelink standards using PathWave V2X solutions. Sidelink is a feature of 3GPP Rel-16 that supports direct communication between two devices and is a key enabler of next-generation 5G NR V2X Day 2 use cases that improve road safety. An example of a Day 2 use case is cooperative perception, where two vehicles with 5G NR V2X technology can communicate with each other and share information detected by the vehicles' sensors. Toward the Metaverse: 5G-enabled AR-animated Avatar Calls26 February 2024 - The metaverse and extended reality (XR) applications are considered critical to unlocking the full consumer potential of the 5G technology. Rigorous testing is crucial to ensure the performance and market acceptance of these immersive experiences. Rohde & Schwarz and Slalom have collaborated to address this need, developing essential tools to test XR use cases thoroughly prior to market launch. At Mobile World Congress 2024, visitors can experience a first demonstration of how to enable tomorrow’s augmented reality. Optical Inspection with augmented reality-based Placement Assistance23 february 2024 - With the MultiEyeS plus, GÖPEL electronic offers a powerful automatic optical inspection module for integration into assembly and THT placement stations. To improve manual THT assembly processes, user-guided assistance during placement has been introduced in November 2023. The combination of an intelligent assistance function for THT placement with reliable and reproducible optical inspection makes a significant contribution to an optimized THT placement process. Spectrum Sensing with Artificial Intelligence22 February 2024 – Anritsu enables advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) capabilities for solving difficult problems in wireless communications systems using DeepSig's proven AI machine learning (ML) technology. Radio Spectrum is a valuable asset that needs to be managed, shared, and utilized optimally in wireless networks. New radio frequencies required to enable 6G Use Cases are becoming increasingly scarce, and there is increased attention towards the development of novel spectrum-sharing techniques. Traditional RF sensing techniques face limitations in dynamically changing wireless environments, and more advanced monitoring and signal characterization is required. More Articles ...
