News - Component TestLTX-Credence to acquire Multitest and Everett Charles Technologies16 September 2013 - LTX-Credence announced an agreement to acquire Multitest and Everett Charles Technologies (ECT) from Dover Corporation. LTX-Credence and Dover Corporation have signed a definitive agreement. The deal is expected to close in November 2013, pending regulatory approval. For LTX-Credence this is an important step in the evolution of the semiconductor test cell. The combination of LTX-Credence, Multitest and ECT will provide LTX-Credence with the opportunity to serve a greater share of the semiconductor test cell, while increasing access to the electronics manufacturing industry. The combined company will be the only provider of comprehensive test solutions and services for the semiconductor and printed circuit board markets—redefining the test cell by assembling best-in-class technology from three market-leading companies into new, innovative solutions. Dr. Reinhart Richter, President of Multitest, comments: “By bringing together industry-leading semiconductor test systems with device handlers, contactors and load boards, we can create IC test solutions that deliver unmatched value - cost of test and world class support – to our customers. The new, combined company will continue striving for best-in-class individual products for all test cells, while we aim at offering unprecedented integrated test solutions.”
