QuadTech releases All in One Demo Software

29 November 2011 – QuadTech, a provider of electrical safety testers, passive component measurement solutions, ac and dc programmable power sources and dc electronic loads, has released QuadTester, a new software demo package for QuadTech’s complete line of products. The software demo package contains all of QuadTech’s software programs, including free data loggers and wizards.

Additionally, QuadTester highlights CaptivATE, QuadTech’s proprietary automation software for safety testing in medical, aerospace and other industries.  It also previews all of QuadTech’s Softpanels for AC Programmable Sources, DC Programmable Sources and DC Electronic Loads. Robert Brown, VP of Technical Operations for QuadTech says, “What’s unique about this program is that when a product is connected, you can use the free software available. If nothing is attached it will run in demo mode and show the functionality of the software. This will be a great tool for our customers.”

QuadTester groups all products by family and describes each instrument and its corresponding software. This eliminates the need for multiple downloads and allows customers to easily maneuver between products and the software associated with them. QuadTester is especially helpful for customers who know they need to use software, but do not know what program is supported by their testing unit.

Each of the product families has different demo functionalities. The demo package for EST products allows all setups to be uploaded from the instrument’s memory and saved to a file. The file can then be downloaded back into the memory of the instrument. This is ideal for configuring new instruments, or for when an instrument is coming back from calibration or repair to ensure setups in memory have not changed. There is also a logging feature to perform measurements and save the data to a file.

In the LCR family, it allows configuring the meter from a simple GUI and saving data to a file. There is also a feature to perform a linear or log sweep across a frequency range and save the sweep data to a file.
