News - Board and System TesteSIM Test Profile Download Service for 5G and 4G Protocol Testing22 June 2022 – Anritsu Corporation and Comprion announced the availability of downloadable 5G and 4G eSIM test profiles for use with Anritsu’s MT8000A Radio Communications Test Station and Rapid Test Designer (RTD) application software. An increasing number of mobile device manufacturers are integrating embedded SIMs (eSIMs) into their products, whether phones, tablets, wearables or IoT devices, both for flexibility and to save valuable physical device real-estate. However, because eSIMs are non-removable, it is now more difficult to set-up communication testing between the mobile device and a network simulator in the lab. PCIe Integrity and Data Encryption (IDE) Protocol Testing Solution20 June 2022 – Teledyne LeCroy presents new protocol analysis and traffic generation solutions for testing PCI Express (PCIe) Integrity and Data Encryption (IDE) security protocols using their Summit Protocol Analyzers and Exercisers. The Summit PCIe analyzers are now capable of providing graphical representations of IDE packets, encrypted/decrypted payloads, and protocol errors to ensure conformance to the specification early during the design phase, and offer a means to identify and thwart security attacks. Rotary Test Handler17 June 2022 - With the aim of increasing capacity, efficiency and productivity, 6TL has launched the new 6TL60 Rotary Test Handler. According to 6TL philosophy, 6TL60 design follows the concepts of flexibility, modularity and scalability, in addition to basic key points such as reduced factory footprint, cycle time and standardization. Digital Wideband Transceiver Test Solution09 June 2022 - Keysight Technologies announced Keysight's new Digital Wideband Transceiver test solution, which unveils true radio frequency (RF) performance characteristics of mixed-digital RF devices. Defense radars and satellite communications and 5G employ phased-array antennas (PAA) to meet performance and versatility requirements to millimeter wave frequencies. Digital signals are highly integrated into the RF front-end architecture of modern antennas, introducing the need for a new measurement methodology for stimulus and response measurements. IEEE 802.11ax 6-GHz-Band (Wi-Fi 6E) OTA Measurements08 June 2022 – The Microwave Vision Group (MVG) and Anritsu Corporation announced a solution supporting IEEE 802.11ax 6 GHz band (Wi-Fi 6E) OTA measurements by combining an MVG multi-probe system and Anritsu’s MT8862A Wireless Connectivity Test Set. The 6 GHz band in the 802.11ax standard is the first new frequency band for about 20 years. As an unlicensed band, it supports a bandwidth of 1200 MHz up to 7.125 GHz with 160 MHz channels for high data throughput. First use of the unlicensed 6 GHz band started in the USA as a result of collaboration between the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and leading technology companies and there is a worldwide movement to adopt and use this band, with many countries already in operation. USB Type-C Test Coupon Fixture simplifies System Integration Debugging07 June 2022 – Teledyne LeCroy launched new USB Type-C High-speed and Sideband Test Coupon Fixtures that provide the industry’s first oscilloscope solution for high-speed probing and analysis of an active data link at the USB Type-C connector. Additional connection to a Teledyne LeCroy protocol analyzer provides complete debug capability of any USB Type-C link negotiation failure.
