News - General T&M3D and Multi-Camera Vision System25 September 2014 - Cognex announced a complete machine-vision solution that makes developing, deploying and maintaining 3D and multi-camera 2D applications easier than ever. Together, the easy-to-use Cognex Designer software, powerful VC5 vision controller, 3D laser displacement sensors, and new Cognex Industrial Camera (CIC) models address the most demanding 3D profiling and high-performance multi-camera applications.
65-GSa/s High-Speed Arbitrary Waveform Generator23 September 2014 – Keysight Technologies added a 65-GSa/s, 20-GHz modular instrument to its portfolio of arbitrary waveform generators. The new high-speed, wide-bandwidth M8195A arbitrary waveform generator allows engineers to generate digital, multilevel (e.g. PAM4, MIPI C-PHY) signal scenarios and test their electrical and optical links with complex modulated signals up to 32 GBaud and beyond. This makes the M8195A the most versatile signal generator in the industry.
Audio Analyzer with extrem low residual THD+N19 September 2014 - Audio Precision introduced the new audio analyzer APx555. The APx555 outperforms the previous flagship instruments of Audio Precision, the SYS-2700 series. Leveraging the modular architecture and powerful software of the APx family, the APx555 delivers improved measurement accuracy, speed, flexibility, automation and ease-of-use for developers of audio components, equipment and systems. DDR4 BGA Interposers for Infiniium Series Oscilloscopes17 September 2014 - Keysight Technologiesintroduced DDR4 ball-grid array (BGA) probe interposer solutions for Infiniium Series oscilloscopes. Engineers can use the probes and oscilloscopes for debugging and characterizing DDR4 memory designs and testing device compliance with the JEDEC DDR4 standard.
ETS-Lindgren extended Warranty for RF Power and Signal Line Filters15 September 2014 – ETS-Lindgren extended its performance warranty from one to five years on all radio-frequency (RF) power and signal line filters purchased after June 1, 2014. The extended five year warranty applies to all power and signal line filters designed for the control of electromagnetic inference (EMI) as well as those designed for electromagnetic pulse (EMP) protection.
NI announces new Software-Designed Instruments11 September 2014 – National Instruments announced a range of new software-designed instrument: 8-channel oscilloscope, RF vector signal analyzer, frequency digitizer and a high-speed serial instrument. Two years ago, NI introduced the first software-designed instrument, the vector signal transceiver.
Frost & Sullivan: PXI Lowers Cost and Time to Market11 September 2014 - Original equipment manufacturers (OEM) across industries are adopting PCI extensions for instrumentation (PXI)-based instrumentation as its measurement speed, small footprint, low power consumption, and flexibility reduce the time to market and overall cost of tests. In particular, companies in the wireless communications space are turning to these solutions to satisfy new test requirements for radio frequency (RF) wireless technologies. A new analysis from Frost & Sullivan, PXI Market to Change the Face of the Test and Measurement Industry, finds that the market earned revenues of $563.3 million in 2013 and estimates this to reach $1.75 billion by 2020.
