DC Power Supplies for High Voltage and Solar Array Applications20 August 2014 - B&K Precision introduced three new models of high power programmable DC power supplies, models PVS10005, PVS60085, and PVS60085MR. The new PVS Series delivers output power up to 5.1 kW with excellent regulation, low noise, and fast transient response times. All models provide a unique built-in solar array simulator (SAS) function to generate photovoltaic I-V curves.
AC Power Sources with 500 to 4000 VA Output19 August 2014 – Keysight Technologies (Agilent Technologies) introduced a family of basic AC power sources that deliver stable, reliable power for testing electronic devices during design and manufacturing. The new Keysight AC6800 Series includes four models from 500 to 4000 VA output power, all with the quality and capability required for basic testing.
Cost-efficient and compact Measurement System13 August 2014 – National Instruments (NI) announced the CompactDAQ 4-slot controller. By integrating the processor, signal conditioning and I/O into a single CompactDAQ system, engineers and scientists can reduce overall system cost and complexity while increasing measurement accuracy. Integrated measurement systems reduce the number of components, connections and wiring needed, where noise and additional costs are often introduced, to ensure high-accuracy measurements and cost-optimized systems.
Programmable Power Supplies with precise Measurement Functions11 August 2014 – Keithley Instruments introduced the Series 2280S Precision Measurement, Low Noise, Programmable DC Power Supplies. Unlike conventional power supplies, Series 2280S power supplies are also sensitive measurement instruments with the speed and dynamic range essential for measuring standby current loads and load current pulses. Typical applications include characterizing battery-powered devices, wireless sensors, RFID tags, intrinsically safe devices, and low power semiconductor devices.
NI enhances LabVIEW 2014 Software with new Capabilities08 August 2014 – National Instruments (NI) announced LabVIEW 2014 system design software, the heart of the NI platform, featuring upgrades to help users acquire, analyze and visualize data sets to make informed decisions fast. In total the latest version of LabVIEW includes 13 user-driven features to optimize coding productivity.
New 75 Ohm Calibration Kit07 August 2014 - Rosenberger introduced a high performance 75 Ohm calibration kit for applications up to 12 GHz. The calibration kit contains RPC-N open, short and broadband loads for measurements in N 75 Ohm applications. Additionally, high quality RPC-N 75 Ohm to BNC 75 Ohm adaptors enable measurements in BNC 75 Ohm applications: calibrate in RPC-N 75 Ohm series, connect the adaptor and measure in BNC 75 Ohm series.
Arbitrary/Function Generators for Signals up to 30 MHz04 August 2014 - The new Yokogawa FG400 Series is a range of arbitrary/function generators that combine intuitive operation with comprehensive sweep and modulation facilities. The instruments allow the creation of basic, application specific and arbitrary waveforms, and feature isolated output channels which allows their use in the development of floating circuits in power electronics applications.
