News - General T&MUnified Digital Learning Platform for University Engineering Programs11 April 2023 - Keysight Technologies introduced the Keysight Digital Learning Suite, a new unified digital learning platform that provides university engineering educators and students with lab tools, resources, and courseware through a single, secure web interface. In response to demands for flexible learning options, universities are moving from in-person education to digital and hybrid learning models. Although these new models provide unprecedented flexibility for time and location, there are still challenges for engineering educators. They often find themselves pressured to compete against each other to provide the highest quality education for their universities. Many educators also find themselves trying to balance their own research work against teaching demands that require time spent on curriculum development, administrative activities, and managing engineering resources. Benchtop Multi-range DC Power Supplies07 April 2023 - B&K Precision announced the 9240 Series Multi-Range DC Power Supplies. This series combines an easy-to-use interface with advanced list programming features, battery charge mode, and data logging to serve a wide range of applications including production test, R&D, electronics servicing, and education. Consisting of three models, the 9240 Series provides up to 200 W of clean output power in a compact 2U half-rack form factor. Multi-range operation provides the maximum power at any Volt/Amp combination within the rated voltage and current limits (up to 60 V or 10 A). Kimsoptec renames to Instrument Systems Korea06 April 2023 - After being acquired by Instrument Systems in 2022, the Korean manufacturer of display measurement systems changed its name to Instrument Systems Korea. CEO is Dr. Markus Ehbrecht, CEO of Instrument Systems since 2014. He is supported by Managing Directors Dr. Jin Sung Kim, founder and former owner of Kimsoptec, and Jürgen Tiepermann, CFO of Instrument Systems. Ultra-wideband RF Amplifier Family05 April 2023 — Rohde & Schwarz extended its proven R&S BBA300 RF amplifier portfolio with a new powerful 90 W model for CDE and DE series. Designed for test environments, the R&S BBA300 amplifiers offer 380 MHz to 6 GHz in one frequency band and up to 250 W output power. These amplifiers are designed to provide stable, robust, and precise test signals for equipment tests. Uses include EMC and co-existence testing as well as component tests during development and production. The very broad frequency range makes them ideal for wireless and ultra-wideband applications. New 4-Channel Digital Storage Oscilloscope27 March 2023 - Acute launched a new 4-Channel Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO). The new TravelScope 3000 (TS3000) offers a bandwidth of 200 MHz and a sample rate of 1 GS/s. The instrument supports also a DSO stack mode, in which up to 4 devices (16 channels) can be stacked together in the same time. More than 20 types of waveform measurements with customized threshold settings features, provide real-time update for vertical, time and channel to channel timing measurements with statistic features. Battery Emulation and Profiling Solution for IoT Devices24 March 2023 - Keysight Technologies introduced the Keysight E36731A Battery Emulator and Profiler, a complete emulation solution that identifies the impact of variables affecting the battery drain of internet of things (IoT) devices to enable development engineers to improve their device designs. The Keysight E36731A Battery Emulator and Profiler addresses the battery testing needs of IoT device designers by giving them an integrated electronic load and power supply that can be used to emulate battery performance. PCIe Digitizers combine ultrafast Speed, high Resolution and market-leading Streaming21 March 2023 - The addition of two new PCIe Digitizer cards from Spectrum Instrumentation extends the company’s flagship M5i series to deliver optimal GHz signal acquisition and analysis capabilities. The one and two channel cards offer a stunning combination of ultrafast 10 GS/s sampling speed, with 12-bit vertical resolution, and market-leading 12.8 GB/s data streaming (over the PCIe bus). To achieve the unbeatable streaming rate, they use 16 lane, Gen3, PCIe technology. This allows the acquired data to be sent directly to PC memory for storage, or to CPUs and GPUs for customized signal processing and analysis. More Articles ...
