News - General T&MModular 2-port VNAs for Frequencies up to 43.5 GHz03 July 2023 – Anritsu introduced the ShockLine ME7869A distributed modular 2-port vector network analyzers (VNAs) that can conduct long-distance full vector S-parameter measurements over wide distances of up to 100 meters. Three models – operating up to 8 GHz, 20 GHz, and 43.5 GHz, respectively – provide unprecedented cost-efficiency, flexibility, and ease-of-use to a variety of existing and emerging commercial and military antenna design applications. High-Power triple Output Battery Testing Devices29 June 2023 – EA Elektro-Automatik GmbH & Co.KG, a manufacturer of DC programmable power supplies, bidirectional power supplies and regenerative loads, introduces the EA-BT 20000 Triple Battery Tester, the only battery tester instrument with three channels and the highest voltage and current outputs. The new instruments can test up to three battery cells, modules or packs simultaneously with the power capacity of 4 kW/channel, 6 kW/channel or 10 kW/channel. Furthermore, to test higher capacity batteries, the channels can be paralleled to test batteries with either 12 kW, 18 kW, and 30 kW. 1U high programmable DC Power Supply Series up to 5kW and 1500V27 June 2023 - TDK Corporation introduced two new models to the 5kW TDK-Lambda GENESYS+ series of high-power density programmable DC power supplies. This expansion provides engineers with incremental and seamless choices in output voltage and current ranging from 0-10V/500A to 0-1500V/3.4A. Target applications for these high voltage 5kW power supplies are automotive testing, which includes electric and hybrid cars with high voltage batteries, general test or research, measurement, semiconductor fabrication, battery manufacturing, and renewable energy. High Performance Optical Spectrum Analyzer26 June 2023 - Yokogawa Test & Measurement Corporation announced the release of the AQ6370E optical spectrum analyzer. An upgraded version of the popular AQ6370D, the new model comes equipped with features that enhance performance and improve usability. Equally suitable for industry, universities and research institutions, the AQ6370E can be used to characterize a wide range of components, including lasers for optical communications, optical transceivers, and optical amplifiers. This product will be exhibited at LASER World of PHOTONICS (Germany, June 27-30) and COMNEXT (Japan, June 28-30). Analog Signal Generator with extended Frequency Range up to 70 GHz22 June 2023 – Anritsu has expanded its Rubidium high-performance analog signal generator family with the introduction of the MG36271A that covers 9 kHz to 70 GHz to meet the needs of emerging extremely high frequency designs. With industry-best signal purity, output power, and frequency stability, the MG36271A fills a void in the Q/V frequency band, providing significant benefits to aerospace and defense, test and measurement, communications, components, and research applications. Midrange Network Analyzer for Error Vector Magnitude Measurements21 June 2023 - Keysight Technologies introduced the Keysight E5081A ENA-X, the first midrange vector network analyzer (VNA) that produces fast, accurate error vector magnitude (EVM) measurements and accelerates the characterization of 5G component designs by up to 50%. The integrated platform provides modulation distortion analysis with full vector correction at the device under test plane in a single test setup. PXI/PXIe Microwave Relay Modules capable of switching 110 GHz Signals15 June 2023 - Pickering Interfaces announced a new range of PXI/PXIe microwave relay modules capable of switching the 110 GHz signals associated with demanding RF & communications applications, including emerging technologies such as automotive radar. This extension to Pickering’s family of terminated SPDT microwave switches is the first to be offered in 110 GHz, delivering the highest RF switching performance available within a Pickering switching system. As operating frequencies evolve to ever higher levels, more of Pickering’s RF & microwave switching solutions will support 110 GHz to address the latest RF testing requirements. More Articles ...
