News - General T&MMicrowave Amplifier with 1000W Output07 March 2013 - AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has introduced a line of solid-state microwave amplifiers that can offer an alternative solution to Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs) and provide additional benefits to users. Models 100S1G2z5 (100 watts), 250S1G2z5 (250 watts), 500S1G2z5 (500 watts) and 1000S1G2z5 (1000 watts) each cover the 1 – 2.5 GHz frequency range. Low Cost Spectrum Analyzer for Pre-Compliance-Tests06 March2013 - RIGOL Technologies introduces new options for its best selling low cost spectrum analyzer DSA815-TG. This compact instrument is designed for multiple applications, and in combination with an additional 1.5 GHz tracking generator and an optional VSWR bridge it can also be used as a scalar network analyzer. In particular the DSA815-TG is a great tool for EMI pre compliance testing according to CISPR 16. Multi Channel Electronic Load with integrated Power Measurement05 March 2013 - NH Research introduced its 4350 series Electronic Loads with built in power measurements. The system consists of a 19 Inch Rack controller chassis that can be populated with up to 16 channels of 150 Watt , 8 channels of 300 Watt or 4 channels of 600 Watt 500 Volt DC load modules or any combination up to 2400 Watt. More channels and higher power can be achieved by adding additional chassis. All channels can be operated independent but also can be configured parallel for higher power. New IP for NI Vector Signal Transceiver extends Test Capabilities04 March 2013 – National Instruments announced 10 pieces of new application IP that enable engineers and scientists to use NI LabVIEW system design software to build their own custom RF instruments. This IP integrates with PXI FPGA targets such as the NI PXIe-5644R vector signal transceiver (VST) and extends their default capabilities by adding new features or enhancing performance in specific applications. Agilent offers Three-Year Warranty for all Electronic Test Instruments04 March 2013 - Agilent Technologies announced that all new Agilent electronic test instruments sold after 01 March will be covered by a "bumper-to-bumper" three-year repair warranty. The increase from one year to three years is the result of ongoing quality initiatives that, from 2002 to 2012, yielded unprecedented improvements in product reliability and earned top marks in an independent customer survey rating RF and microwave product quality, Agilent said. Cost-efficient Generation and Analysis of WLAN IEEE 802.11ac Signals up to 160 MHz28 February 2013 - Rohde & Schwarz has tailored its mid-range measuring instruments to handle WLAN signals in line with IEEE 802.11ac. Using the R&S SMBV100A and R&S FSV, manufacturers of WLAN chipsets, components and devices can now easily generate and analyze signals with 160 MHz bandwidth. New options extend the baseband of the R&S SMBV100A vector signal generator to 160 MHz, making it the only signal generator to directly support high-speed modes for WLAN IEEE 802.11ac. World’s first USB 3.0 Oscilloscopes launched26 February 2013 - Pico Technology introduced the first PC oscilloscopes with a USB 3.0 interface. The PicoScope 3207A is a 2 channel USB oscilloscope with 250 MHz bandwidth, 1 GS/s sampling rate, 256 MS buffer memory and a built-in function generator. Basic timebase accuracy is ±2 ppm.
