News - General T&MKeysight Technologies acquired Anite17 August 2015 – Keysight Technologies announced that it has completed the acquisition of Anite. Keysight paid approximately $600 million in cash for Anite – a leading supplier of software solutions for wireless research and development – in a deal that supports Keysight’s strategy to grow in wireless and expand its software offerings. Spring Probes for high Current Testing04 August 2015 - Everett Charles Technologies (ECT) introduces the latest addition of its versatile family of high current probes; the HC500F. The HC500F is rated at 150 Amps DC and is designed for the most challenging applications in a broad range of industrial test applications including transportation, automotive, power grid, military and PCB test. Handheld Thermal Imagers for Predictive Maintenance Applications31 July 2015 – Keysight Technologies announced the addition of two higher temperature models to its thermal imagers’ portfolio. The U5856A and U5857A can perform temperature measurements up to 650 degrees C and 1200 degrees C respectively. This allows users to detect a wide temperature range for various applications such as petrochemical and steel processing, electrical and mechanical applications, building maintenance and even electronics applications. Safety-Rated High Voltage Differential Oscilloscope Probes for 2kV and 8kV27 July 2015 – Teledyne LeCroy introduced two new additions to the HVD3000 series of high voltage differential probes — the 2 kV safety-rated HVD3206 and the 8.4 kV safety-rated HVD3605. Like the existing 1 kV safety-rated HVD310x probes, these new probes provide excellent performance by offering the best gain accuracy, widest differential voltage range, high offset range and exceptional common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR). Detect and analyze Interference and hidden Transmitters that use Frequency Hopping20 July 2015 – Narda Safety Test Solutions expanded the features of its Interference and Direction Analyzer: Spectrograms with a time resolution of as fine as 1 μs now allow insights into signal structures that were otherwise only possible with large scale lab equipment. This means that interference and hidden transmitters with rapidly changing frequencies can also be analyzed and then localized with subsequent operating steps. Impedance Analyzer speeds Low-Frequency Impedance Testing17 July 2015 – Keysight introduced an enhanced measurement speed option for its E4990A impedance analyzer. With the new option, the low-frequency models of the E4990A are now as fast as the flagship 120-MHz E4990A model. Keysight’s E4990A impedance analyzer is designed for R&D, quality assurance, production and inspection engineers characterizing and evaluating passive electronic components, semiconductor devices and materials. Analyze broadband and pulsed Signals up to 85 GHz15 July 2015 - The R&S FSW85 from Rohde & Schwarz is the company's latest addition to its successful family of high-end signal and spectrum analyzers. It is ideal for demanding research and development applications. Thanks to its easy handling, the R&S FSW85 simplifies complex measurement tasks in the fields of automotive radar, 5G and other wireless communications standards or aerospace and defense.
