RF Peak Power Sensors featuring 100 ps Resolution

BKP RFP300623 December 2021 - B&K Precision announced the RFP3000 Series RF Peak Power Sensors. Each sensor utilizes real-time processing and enhanced hardware triggering to capture even the most elusive signals. The sensors, in combination with the included Power Analyzer software measure pulsed, burst, and modulated signals. These signals are found in commercial, and military radar, electronic warfare (EW), wireless communications (e.g., LTE, LTE-A, and 5G), consumer electronics (WLAN including Wi-Fi 6), as well as education, and research applications.

The sensors are powered by the host computer's USB port and enabled with advanced measurement and analysis software to extract each sensor's full capabilities.

  •   Real-Time Power Processing
  •   Acquisition rate of 100 MSa/s continuous sampling; an effective sample rate of 10 GSa/s
  •   Superior time base resolution of 100 ps
  •   16 automated pulse measurements
  •   Crest Factor and statistical measurements (e.g., CCDF)
  •   Synchronized multi-channel measurements (up to 8 channels with GUI, >8 with remote control)
  •   Measurement buffer mode to capture selected detail of consecutive pulses or events
  •   Power Analyzer application software with advanced measurement and analysis

The RFP3000 sensors can be combined with an optional RFM3000 RF power meter to provide a complete measurement system without a personal computer. The RF power meter adds LAN and HDMI connectivity with Power View functionality. Available in 2 channels or 4 channels with GPIB.
